Gifford Map
Pat Gifford traveled to Turkey in 1950 to train Turkish engineers in the use of machines he designed as Huber's Chief Engineer. During his time there, he traveled throughout the country and took photos of the sites he felt were important. Some were taken during his instruction courses, while others were taken of general points of interest. Use the map below to see where he went and to view first-hand images Gifford took while at each location. Some of the dates cited are approximations. He also visited some sites more than once. For simplicity, I list each only one time.
